What does the unofficial oblivion patch require obse mod#
OBMM will have it's own post on using it, and it's mod managing functions. Also, hopefully my method of using it will help make your modding easier. If you haven't used this before, I'm sure you will wonder why you haven't. Probably the most important, and required tool for modding.

You don't have to put the install files for this in your 'Mod Database' since it's a separate program. Feel free to use whatever program you wish, but this is my personal preference. This tool is 100% free and does everything you will need it to. Nearly every mod you download will be zipped, and most archives managers I've used have several limitations or annoying pop ups.

Not necessarily a 'must-have' but it's a very useful zip archive extraction and packaging tool, and having it is a large help. The Utility programs will be what help make modding less frustrating and the reason for all this set-up process. Now that Oblivion is set up, we created a database, and have everything patched we only have one more step before we get to the fun part. Once you have your mods activated, run BOSS to get a optimal load order (Though you should only have a handful of files, it's best to keep things running smoothly from the beginning) and play the game for a while to get a feel for OOO to see if you like it! Got everything installed, and followed the instructions carefully? Then I recommend running OBMM, then checking all the. Living Economy makes bartering and haggling much more interesting, and Harvest Flora helps with gathering plants. Personally I recommend Living Economy and Harvest Flora. OOO will also give you the option for some additional mods and choices, choose what ones are to your liking. I have to really think about, and research the mods that go good with OOO. The second reason I like the complete version of OOO is the fact that it restrains me from going crazy and downloading a ton of mods.
What does the unofficial oblivion patch require obse full version#
One reason I prefer the full version is because of the sheer amount it adds/changes your vanilla oblivion game, you could play with simply this mod and it would be an entirely new game in some aspects. Personally, I don't think the light version of this mod is that great, and go with the full version. Once you have the backup bade, run the installer, fallowing instructions carefully. Open your Oblivion Mod Database folder, then open your Mods folder and create a new folder within there called 'Overhauls' or, if you so insist, give OOO it's own folder. It includes the latest version, and the latest patch. Therefor I will simply explain how this mod will work with this process, depending on what choices you make with it.įirst if all, download OOO with the link below, personally, for the sake of simplicity, I would choose the complete standalone installer version. OOO's readme and websites are very detailed, and you can find numerous reviews of the mod. I personally think this mod takes Oblivion, and gives it that bit of umph it needed to push it from great game, to excellent game. OOO, is the next step, the first mod, which is completely optional. Once that was set up we installed the patches, and lastly we downloaded the required, and some useful utilities to mod oblivion. Then created a Mod Database directory within our computer.
So far we have started with a fresh Vanilla Oblivion installation. It's a powerful, large mod with a lot of grit to it. I added this mod as a separate step from other mods, because I feel it really mandates what mods you can add once it's installed. Oscuro's Oblivion Overhaul (Or OOO) is a wonderful mod, and I would have to say one of the most, if not the most popular mod for oblivion.
